More Info about Balboa, Blues & Booze

We will be playing the compositions & arrangements of the great 1930’s swing guitarist, Oscar Aleman. An unsung hero of the Parisian jazz guitar scene of the swing era, Aleman rivaled the infamous Django Reinhardt. Come listen to Aleman’s compositions and arrangements of swing standards at Lindy & Balboa friendly tempos!!

“It has always been a mystery to me as to why this other remarkable proponent of acoustic swing guitar has been so ignored and unrecognized in relation to Django.”

– David Grisman (liner notes to Acoustic Disc Aleman compilation Swing Guitar Masterpieces)
