Hazeltine Theater presents an evening of jazz guitar featuring Howard Alden and Greg Ruby, two musicians connected by a long shared history and deep commitment to the jazz tradition. The two first met in 2004, when Ruby was touring with Pearl Django and Alden sat in with the group. A lasting friendship and mentorship developed, with Ruby traveling to New York City to study with Alden. Over the years, they have performed together at festivals and venues including DjangoFest Northwest, DjangoFest San Francisco, Jazz Alley, and the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee.
